Hey Everyone,

So today is transfers and because it is transfers it makes it all the harder to write emails, but since I have not written a group email in a while I decided I was going to at least do that.

To start I am moving from the Birch Hills Ward, which is one of the most northern parts of my mission, down to Tustin Meadows, which is the most southern part of my mission. Sounds like a long way doesn't it? Well, in truth it isn't that far at all, because my mission being pretty small.  In fact, it is the smallest proselyting mission in the world. Not quite sure how it will go, but I do have high hopes in everything.

This week, as well as every other week, has been an amazing experience. The biggest part of these last few weeks was having Elder Uchdorf come and speak to us in a mission conference, and also getting to shake his hand was pretty cool too.  It is difficult to describe the amazing feeling that filled my heart as I listened to him speak to us and I will never forget that I had a witness from the Holy Ghost, that Elder Uchdorf is an apostle of God!

The rest of the week was unpredictable and here is why:
Monday: P-day we played soccer with high school kids....then it rained right after.
Tuesday: exchanges with my district leader which came out of no where, and it also rained and I did not have a rain jacket with me (#tractingintherain).
Wednesday: Average day of heat and tracting.
Thursday: District meeting and.... that's about it for that day.
Friday: Crazy rain storm came out of no where and we ended up tracting in it. I was feeling sick the whole day, but went through the day like usual.
Saturday: Threw up in the morning and stayed in the rest of the day and slept and threw up some more. Super fun day. We also had another rain storm outside while I slept...which was kind of peaceful.
Sunday I felt better at first and I went to church and bore my goodbye testimony to the ward. I then went out for a little bit and ended up returning to the apartment and throwing up again and that is pretty much my week. It never rains here and all of a sudden we get rain. Not a bad thing, just unexpected.

Thank you for all of your support and all of the great examples you have shown to me!

Love,
Elder Wasden

Hey everyone,       So, like last time I will put together a day-to-day email, and trust me these last few days have been pretty eventful. Monday, 8/14/2017      Today was pretty eventful. It was my first P-day today and let's just say that laundry is now my least favorite activity ever. The story goes like this....We were going to do laundry, so we gather the cloths and head down to the washer and dryer which is in a separate building, and we realize that we need a special card to use the washers, so we call the other elders who had the apartment before us and they tell us where the special card is. We head back to the house get the card and head back to the washers and then we come to find out there is not enough money on it so we call another elder and ask to use their card. They are in another complex across the street so we walk over and get the card and then we come back and grab our clothes from our house and head to the washer only to find...

Hola Amigos, So this week has been a little easier in comfort as well as actually knowing who wants the missionaries over or not. So, one major change that my companion and I are currently trying to do is learn Spanish. I have run into a lot of Spanish speakers and I have picked a few things up, but I really want to be able to talk to them and have a decent conversation.  High school Spanish is definitely haunting me this week. We were able to visit a lot of people, but one difference that I have noticed between Birch Hills and North Hills is that North Hills had a few more youth and while being out here I have found that I really like being able to talk and connect with them. It has been a slow week and I honestly had a lot of study time and I can't believe how my testimony has grown from my studies.  All I need now is to be able to share my testimony with people, because what invites the spirit more to a conversation than a testimony of how the gospel of Jesus Chri...
