Hey Everybody,
This week has been a roller coaster and there have been a lot of experiences for me to learn from. I feel that there is always something to learn every day no matter how small it may seem, and I definitely wish I would have realized this sooner.
Well anyway, this week started out with a lot of Christmas decorating, which was really fun. We were able to answer the call to do service and help two members setup for Christmas, and I will be sending some pictures on that. While we were at one of these decorating parties I got to climb to the top of a mushroom tree and poke my head out at the top. I have a picture of that too.
Thanksgiving was super fun and I can definitely say that I was thankful and not just full, although I did eat my weight in yams. We were able to eat at our bishop's and while there we also got to try these cool camera goggles that connect to a copter and it definitely will make you dizzy so you have to steady yourself when you wear them.

Saturday we were able to go and spend most of the day in downtown Brea and talk to people and at first we were getting shut down left and right. We did hand a guy the Book of Mormon and we later saw him walking outside of a book store and he no longer had the book so we are hoping he still has it. As we walked back to the church we met a man who respected us enough to talk a little and we were able to share with him our new light the world video and he was in tears by the end of it. He asked if he could use it in getting his church to do the same and we did. I know what you are all thinking, we need to try and convert that guy, but I see it as a opportunity to get the light in the world cause we will never be able to convert everyone, but we can light the world.  It is awesome to write to all of you guys and I hope that we can use this light the world initiative and brighten the day of many.

Hey everyone,       So, like last time I will put together a day-to-day email, and trust me these last few days have been pretty eventful. Monday, 8/14/2017      Today was pretty eventful. It was my first P-day today and let's just say that laundry is now my least favorite activity ever. The story goes like this....We were going to do laundry, so we gather the cloths and head down to the washer and dryer which is in a separate building, and we realize that we need a special card to use the washers, so we call the other elders who had the apartment before us and they tell us where the special card is. We head back to the house get the card and head back to the washers and then we come to find out there is not enough money on it so we call another elder and ask to use their card. They are in another complex across the street so we walk over and get the card and then we come back and grab our clothes from our house and head to the washer only to find...

Hola Amigos, So this week has been a little easier in comfort as well as actually knowing who wants the missionaries over or not. So, one major change that my companion and I are currently trying to do is learn Spanish. I have run into a lot of Spanish speakers and I have picked a few things up, but I really want to be able to talk to them and have a decent conversation.  High school Spanish is definitely haunting me this week. We were able to visit a lot of people, but one difference that I have noticed between Birch Hills and North Hills is that North Hills had a few more youth and while being out here I have found that I really like being able to talk and connect with them. It has been a slow week and I honestly had a lot of study time and I can't believe how my testimony has grown from my studies.  All I need now is to be able to share my testimony with people, because what invites the spirit more to a conversation than a testimony of how the gospel of Jesus Chri...
