Hey Everybody,
This week has been a roller coaster and there have been a lot of experiences for me to learn from. I feel that there is always something to learn every day no matter how small it may seem, and I definitely wish I would have realized this sooner.
Well anyway, this week started out with a lot of Christmas decorating, which was really fun. We were able to answer the call to do service and help two members setup for Christmas, and I will be sending some pictures on that. While we were at one of these decorating parties I got to climb to the top of a mushroom tree and poke my head out at the top. I have a picture of that too.
Thanksgiving was super fun and I can definitely say that I was thankful and not just full, although I did eat my weight in yams. We were able to eat at our bishop's and while there we also got to try these cool camera goggles that connect to a copter and it definitely will make you dizzy so you have to steady yourself when you wear them.

Saturday we were able to go and spend most of the day in downtown Brea and talk to people and at first we were getting shut down left and right. We did hand a guy the Book of Mormon and we later saw him walking outside of a book store and he no longer had the book so we are hoping he still has it. As we walked back to the church we met a man who respected us enough to talk a little and we were able to share with him our new light the world video and he was in tears by the end of it. He asked if he could use it in getting his church to do the same and we did. I know what you are all thinking, we need to try and convert that guy, but I see it as a opportunity to get the light in the world cause we will never be able to convert everyone, but we can light the world.  It is awesome to write to all of you guys and I hope that we can use this light the world initiative and brighten the day of many.

MTC Highlights

July 22, 2017 Dear Mom, I'm pretty happy that I can finally email you. Not being able to for these first couple days kinda made it hard. The MTC is actually pretty cool and the food is not so bad either (your food is better mom), but I just want to get out into the field and start teaching out there. I've already seen a lot of people I know and a lot of people that look like someone I know, like my companion. July 22, 2017 Hey Everyone, I have missed you all and can't wait to hear from all of you. The MTC is actually pretty cool with its good food and the thousands of people you meet everyday. What really made my day was being able to play some sports for my exercise time which was one thing I was afraid I wast going to be able to do. In all honesty I did not realize how far out of my comfort zone I would be going when I came out on this mission. I love being out here, but part of me can't wait to see you all again in 726 days. If you get th...

This is what happens when we ask him to send more photos.  :) Cameron and KayDee sent this selfie to Elder Wasden. Elder Wasden and Elder Ukena sent this one back.  Dear Family, This week I have found that a testimony is the most important thing we have and our greatest tool against the adversary, so I will be sharing mine. My testimony has grown exceedingly and above all, it is mine. Before I came on my mission I had a testimony, but I now see that it wasn't were it could have been. "A day will come when you will have to stand with only your testimony and testify of what you believe in" - Jeffery R, Holland. Look at your testimony now and ask is it what it could be. Don't put yourself down if it isn't, but rather take the time to figure out what you can do to strengthen it. I love the fact that I am out here on a mission and I hope that I will continue to grow. I know a mission has blessed my life and I hope that it will bless you either b...
